Sara Jane Holland to Present Tax Withholding Lawline CLE Webinar

(March 9, 2020) – Newark Partner Sara Jane Holland will present a Lawline CLE webinar titled “A Breakdown of FIRPTA and the Tax Withholding Requirements of Foreign Persons,” which will stream live on Thursday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Ms. Holland’s presentation will provide a deeper look into the requirements for withholding U.S. tax on payments made to a foreign person, along with how much tax to withhold, the documentation and returns required, and the exceptions to the withholding requirements. She will also take a closer look at holdings subject to the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA) and other best practices for compliance under the Internal Revenue Code.
