Seattle, Wash./Portland, Ore. (February 27, 2019) – This year, Seattle Partner Rachel Tallon Reynolds and Portland Partner George S. Pitcher will commence their terms as president of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WTDL) and Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC), respectively. Mr. Pitcher’s term commenced in January. Ms. Reynolds is president-elect until her term begins in July.

The OADC has over 600 members and was created by defense-oriented civil litigators to provide a unified voice for defense concerns in Oregon, and provide information and networking opportunities to their peers. The organization will host its annual three-day convention in Sunriver, Oregon in June. As part of his presidential duties, Mr. Pitcher recently met with the Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court to discuss the OADC’s support for a bill to provide salary increases for Oregon judges.

The WDTL has over 700 members, and was formed in 1962 to provide a forum for civil defense litigators to discuss cases and legislation that directly affected their clients. Ms. Reynolds will chair the WTDL’s annual convention in Suncadia, Washington in July.

Congratulations to Ms. Reynolds and Mr. Pitcher for taking on these important leadership roles in their states.
