Michael Platner to Lead Private Company Owner Going Liquid Workshops on Strategic Planning and Liquidity

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (April 5, 2022) – Fort Lauderdale Partner Michael G. Platner will lead two “Going Liquid” workshops on strategic planning and liquidity exclusively for C-Level owners and key executive officers of private companies, hosted at Northern Trust's offices on April 26 and May 5 at 8:00 a.m. ET. 

Mr. Platner will be joined by Northern Trust Senior Vice President Rob Ashcroft, Marcum LLP Regional Managing Partner Michael Balter, and H.I.G. WhiteHorse Capital Managing Director John Yeager. This panel will provide insights on building a bankable and scalable enterprise, and generating control and flexibility over liquidity from recaps, sales, and partnerships. The speakers will also discuss how business owners can produce key metrics adjusted for the COVID-19 pandemic, develop a professional investor mentality, and navigate and close successful mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Platner serves as chair of Lewis Brisbois’ national Corporate Practice and co-chair of its Securities & Corporate Finance Practice. He works with clients to develop and execute business savvy legal strategies for businesses from an early stage through maturity, sale, and merger. “Going Liquid” workshops provide actionable advice to business owners who want to position their businesses successfully for growth, value creation, and ultimate liquidity events.
