Michael Grace, Sara Jane Holland to Present CARES Act Tax Webinar Hosted by the NRBP

Newark, N.J. (May 28, 2020) - Washington, D.C. Partner Michael J. Grace and Newark Partner Sara Jane Holland will present a webinar titled "Opportunities to Generate Cash and Reduce Federal Taxes in the Wake of the CARES Act" on June 10 at 2:00 p.m. EST, hosted by the Newark Regional Business Partnership (NRBP).

During this webinar, Mr. Grace and Ms. Holland will review the latest amendments to the federal tax law, as Congress and the Trump Administration respond to the coronavirus and the economic havoc it has wreaked on businesses and individuals. These amendments were designed to ease tax burdens both prospectively and in some cases retroactively by claiming refunds of previously paid taxes, and the U.S. Treasury Department and the IRS have been interpreting these new opportunities, often on a daily basis. From a practical perspective, Mr. Grace and Ms. Holland will highlight these tax-saving opportunities. This NRBP-sponsored webinar builds on an earlier presentation from the same team, with new updates and significant pending changes to the tax law.

Mr. Grace and Ms. Holland are both members of Lewis Brisbois’ COVID-19: Tax Implications Practice, where they focus on advising clients on tax requirements in a broad range of business endeavors, including buying and selling, restructuring and reorganizing, mergers and acquisition, and more.
