Meryl Mills and Shawna Ruetz to Join CBA Coronavirus Rapid Response Webinar
Denver, Colo. (March 16, 2020) - Denver Partner Meryll Mills and Associate Shawna Ruetz will join a Coronavirus Rapid Response Panel webinar hosted by the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) on Wednesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. MDT. The webinar will be presented by representatives of several CBA sections to address the many areas of law implicated by the outbreak, including employment law, insurance law, and workers' compensation.
Ms. Mills and Ms. Ruetz will discuss the impacts of the coronavirus on employment law, and will provide recommendations for employers and employees. The panelists will also take questions if time permits.
Ms. Mills is co-chair of Lewis Brisbois' Employment Advice & Counseling Practice. She specializes in counseling employers on a variety of state and federal employment law issues, including wage and hour compliance, paid sick leave laws, performance documentation and management, leaves of absence, the interactive process, hiring, and terminations.
Ms. Ruetz is a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice. She represents employers before administrative agencies and in all aspects of employment litigation in both federal and state courts.
