Maxwell Petersen to Present Webinar on Privilege in IP Litigation
Chicago, Ill. (August 26, 2019) – Chicago Partner Maxwell Petersen will join a Strafford Publications CLE webinar panel titled “Privilege in IP Litigation: Overcoming Challenges in Review, Applicability to Foreign Attorneys, Disclosure,” on Thursday, September 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Petersen and his fellow panelists will discuss how the courts have treated the issue of privilege in intellectual property (IP) litigation, looking at privilege review and its applicability to documents involving non-U.S. attorneys. The panelists will also review what challenges counsel face when dealing with multiple defendants, provide practical strategies for reviewing documents, and offer best practices for protecting privilege.
Mr. Petersen is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice with experience in patent infringement lawsuits, interferences, inter partes reviews, inter partes and ex parte reexaminations, and other complex USPTO proceedings.
