Lindsay Nickle to Join Envista Forensics Webinar on Digital Evidence in Claims and Litigation

Dallas, Texas (August 31, 2020) - Dallas Partner Lindsay B. Nickle will join a webinar panel titled “Consumer Electronics and the IoT: The Next Wave of Digital Evidence in Claims and Litigation,” hosted by Envista Forensics and scheduled to take place on September 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. CT. During this one-hour session, Ms. Nickle and her fellow panelist will discuss how data collected from the Internet of things (IoT) devices impact litigation.

In particular, the panelists will describe the places where data reside, including the cloud, cell phones, and computers. They will also review cases involving various IoT devices such as digital pacemakers, fitness wearables, and smart home assistants. Their discussion will include insights concerning how this data will likely become more prevalent and pervasive in the future.

Ms. Nickle is a vice chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. She helps clients by overseeing the process of investigating data security events and interpreting the myriad state and federal laws governing data breach response. Lindsay also guides clients through regulatory investigations arising from data security incidents. In her role as a breach coach, Lindsay assists her clients with navigating the complex process of responding to the loss, theft, or compromise of protected information.
