Lewis Brisbois National Business Practices Team Advises on Sale of Aluminum Distributor

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (October 28, 2019) - A national team of Lewis Brisbois attorneys led by Fort Lauderdale Managing Partner Michael G. Platner and Partner Jeffrey Weinstock recently advised Eastern Metal Supply (EMS) and its owners in the sale of its business to Wynnchurch Capital, a private equity investment firm.

EMS is a leading value-added distributor of aluminum extrusions and related products that are sold into a variety of industrial, commercial, residential, and marine end markets. Founded in 1982, EMS grew from 5 original employees to more than 800 today. EMS has 14 nationwide distribution centers and manufacturing facilities totaling nearly 1.5 million square feet.

The deal required collaboration across several of  Lewis Brisbois’ practice areas, including Corporate, Finance, Tax, Antitrust, Real Estate, Labor & Employment, Executive Compensation, and Intellectual Property & Technology.
