Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2020) – Kansas City & Wichita Managing Partner Alan L. Rupe, Denver Partner Jon Olafson, and Kansas City Associate Colby Everett will deliver an informative presentation on the recent landmark Title VII ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court in an online event hosted by the Federal Bar Association. This CLE presentation, titled “Supreme Court Ruling on LGBTQ+ Employment Discrimination: Changes on Policy Drafting and Advising Employer-Clients,” will take place on July 20 at 3:00 p.m. EST.

During the program, the presenters will cover the Court's 6-3 decision in three related workplace discrimination cases, which ultimately extended Title VII protections and prohibitions to LGBTQ+ employees, which effects both employers and employment practices. The session will also elaborate on the background of the LGBTQ+ community and provide key takeaways for employer-clients and tips on policy drafting.
