Lewis Brisbois Fastest Growing Large Law Firm in Florida

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (August 8, 2019) – Lewis Brisbois was the fastest growing large law firm in the state of Florida between 2017 and 2018, according to the Daily Business Review’s annual Review 100 list of the largest law firms in Florida. The list also ranks Lewis Brisbois as the 41st largest law firm by attorney headcount in the Sunshine State. Lewis Brisbois has three offices in Florida, located in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tampa.

According to the Review 100 list, Lewis Brisbois’ Florida offices grew by 47.4% from 2017 to 2018. The data used for the list were compiled from a National Law Journal survey of the 500 largest law firms in the United States. According to that survey, Lewis Brisbois ended 2018 with a Florida attorney headcount of 56. This growth has remained steady throughout 2019, with the three offices set to collectively top 70 attorneys this summer.

Recent notable hires include board certified health law attorney Lee F. Lasris, labor and employment attorney Jonathan A. Beckerman, and complex business and commercial litigator Marissa D. Kelley. These new partners bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm. They also represent the diversity of practices in Lewis Brisbois’ Florida network, where the growing roster of qualified lawyers support clients in almost every area of the law, including immigration, aviation, intellectual property rights, and M&A work, along with the firm’s well-established corporate defense and general liability practices.
