Leiza Dolghih to Present on Non-Compete Agreements at NAPS Annual Conference

Las Vegas, Nev. (August 6, 2021) – Dallas Partner Elisaveta "Leiza" Dolghih will present at the upcoming National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) annual conference hosted at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas. In a session on September 28 at 8:00 a.m., titled “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Non-Compete Agreements,” Ms. Dolghih will discuss recent changes in non-compete laws and address practical questions that many recruiters face when dealing with employees who are subject to non-competes.

In this 75-minute session, Ms. Dolghih will cover the legal landscape related to non-compete agreements, how to avoid lawsuits related to such agreements, and understanding the legal challenges with placing employees subject to non-compete agreements. This timely discussion takes place amid a recent push at the federal level to ban non-compete agreements entirely, or limit their use only to exempt employees. An estimated 30 million employees are subject to non-compete agreements across the country.

Ms. Dolghih is co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Disputes Practice and has extensive courtroom experience, including multiple jury trials, bench trials, and injunction evidentiary hearings. She advises clients on the best protection measures for their trade secrets and, when necessary, litigates trade secrets misappropriation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and other claims that are frequently brought when employees move between competing employers.
