Leiza Dolghih and Jason Blackstone to Speak at Dallas Startup Week
Dallas, Texas (March 25, 2019) – Dallas Partners Leiza Dolghih and Jason Blackstone will speak at The Dallas Start Up Week 2019 on April 4. Their panel, titled “Your Best Ideas: Should You Patent Them or Keep Them as Trade Secrets?” will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Ms. Dolghih and Mr. Blackstone will discuss the differences between patents and trade secrets, what factors influence the decision, and how some of the big companies such as Apple, Tesla, and Google have approached the patent versus trade secrets decision.
The Dallas Startup Week is a free, five-day event that impacts and mobilizes over 8,000 north Texas entrepreneurs. The event will include over 150 sessions across 16 tracks, the launch of the Women of Innovation Summit, a new Corporate Startup Innovation Summit, a series of premiere keynotes and speakers, and the return of its Annual State of Entrepreneurship.
Ms. Dolghih is a co-chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Trade Secrets & Non-Compete Disputes Practice and focuses her practice on prosecuting and defending misappropriation of trade secrets and breaches of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Mr. Blackstone is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Intellectual Property & Technology Practice and is a registered patent attorney experienced in all aspects of intellectual property.
