Lauren Godfrey to Present ABA TIPS Webinar Discussing Ransomware Response Planning
Pittsburgh, Penn. (March 11, 2021) – Pittsburgh Partner Lauren D. Godfrey, CIPP/US, will join an American Bar Association (ABA) Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) webinar panel titled “Plan, Prepare, and Protect: Key Considerations for Drafting Your Company’s Ransomware Response Plan,” taking place March 18 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
This 90-minute program will provide an overview of insurance considerations when preparing for a ransomware incident. The panelists will also review the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) advisories regarding the facilitating of ransomware payments.
Ms. Godfrey is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice and possesses the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). She regularly counsels clients across business sectors as to best practices in information privacy and data security.
