Lauren Godfrey, Kyle Black Appointed to Cybersecurity Committee

Pittsburgh Partner Lauren D. Godfrey was recently reappointed a vice chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee for the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Associate Kyle D. Black was also named a vice chair of the committee.

The appointment begins in August 2018 and will last until August 2019. Ms. Godfrey has served as a vice chair of the Committee since 2017. This is Mr. Black’s first appointment to the Committee.

The Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee develops resources for attorneys and their clients to stay up to date on the rapidly developing issues concerning cybersecurity and data privacy. The Committee also tracks the latest developments on insurance issues involving cybersecurity, the insurance products available, and the limitations of those policies.

As vice chairs, Ms. Godfrey and Mr. Black will be responsible for developing the Committee’s periodicals, including its quarterly newsletter and its annual survey/journal. They will also contribute to the development of continuing education programs and other speaking engagements discussing cybersecurity and data privacy.
