Labor & Employment Team to Present “Paid Leave Laws in the West” Webinar

Portland, Ore. (March 17, 2023) – Portland Partner Jacqueline Houser will moderate a webinar on developments in paid leave laws in Washington, Oregon, California, and Colorado on April 3 at 12:00 p.m. PT. She will be joined by Denver Partner Benjamin Hase, Portland associates Ally McClain and Will Stinman, and San Francisco associate Brittany Vulcan.

During this informative 60-minute program, the presenters will provide a broad overview of the new and ever-changing paid leave laws in Washington, Oregon, California, and Colorado. This program will be a valuable resource to insurance professionals, general counsel, and human resources professionals in those states.

Ms. Houser is a member of the Labor & Employment and Medical Malpractice Groups. She devotes her legal practice to management-side employment law litigation and advice and counseling. Ms. Houser has represented employers of all sizes in a myriad of employment law matters including disability accommodations, leaves of absence, discrimination and harassment, and terminations.

Ms. McLain is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. Her practice focuses on employment law litigation, including issues related to discrimination and harassment, wage and hour laws, disability accommodations, and terminations. She also has extensive experience representing employers on all aspects of Oregon workers' compensation law.

Mr. Stinman is a member of the Labor & Employment and Healthcare regulation practices. With a background in litigation and employment regulation, Mr. Stinman takes a holistic approach to counseling clients through employment disputes from pre-litigation through resolution. He emphasizes open communication and cooperative strategic goal setting to achieve favorable resolution of claims.

Ms. Vulcan is a member of the Labor & Employment and Wage & Hour Class Action Practices. With extensive experience in all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, Ms. Vulcan represents and counsels employers against a wide array of employment matters ranging from harassment, gender/age/race discrimination, retaliation, breaches of contract, and wage and hour disputes.
