Katie Butler Selected to Present at Denver Startup Week
Denver, Colo. (August 31, 2020) – Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Katie L. Butler has been selected to present at the Denver Startup Week, taking place from September 14 to 18. Titled “Disaster-Proofing Your Start-Up,” Ms. Butler's presentation will take place on September 14 at 10:00 a.m. MT.
During this virtual event, Ms. Butler and her co-presenter, attorney Thomas Codevilla, will address how startups can perform at their best by properly preparing for a variety of challenges, including lockdowns, protests, executive misbehavior, and data breaches. The presenters will draw on their own legal experiences to provide advice on not only how to prepare for such potential disasters, but also how to overcome them.
Ms. Butler is an associate in Lewis Brisbois' Denver office. She has extensive experience providing legal support for tech companies, utilizing a proactive approach to data privacy and cybersecurity by counseling clients on how to build and maintain privacy regulation compliance programs and incorporate privacy-by-design into new technologies. Ms. Butler holds both the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) credentials.
