Karen Campbell to Join NYS Academy of Trial Lawyers Webinar on Child Victims Act Cases

New York, N.Y. (July 31, 2020) – New York Partner Karen Campbell will join a panel presenting a live streamed webinar hosted by the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers titled “The Road to Recovery: Litigating NY Child Victims Act Cases,” taking place on August 6 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

This free event will provide an extensive update on New York's Child Victims Act (CVA) and child sex abuse cases. Ms. Campbell and her fellow panelists will identify CVA causes of action, discuss how to talk to survivors of abuse, statute of limitations issues, and drafting pleadings. The panel will also present on litigating the case from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives, court mediation initiatives, and managing such litigation from the judicial perspective.

Ms. Campbell is a chair of Lewis Brisbois’ General Liability Practice and primarily focuses on defending hotel industry clients against human sex trafficking claims, as well as litigation under both the New York and New Jersey Child Victims Acts.
