Joshua Curry to Speak at Georgia State Bar CLE Event

Atlanta, Ga. (June 25, 2019) – Atlanta Intellectual Property Partner Joshua D. Curry will moderate a panel discussion hosted by the State Bar of Georgia. The discussion, titled “Alice Turns Five: Developments, Trends and Insights,” will take place on June 27 at 12:00 p.m. at the Atlanta offices of Alston & Bird.

Mr. Curry and the panelists will review recent developments in patent subject matter eligibility under Section 101 of the Patent Act since the 2014 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Alice Corp v. CLS Bank International. The panel will also look at patent trends and provide their thoughts on what the future holds for patent law under the Alice doctrine. Georgia Bar members who attend can earn CLE credits.

Mr. Curry’s national practice covers all aspects of IP litigation and counseling, with a particular emphasis on technology-related matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. He is a frequent contributor to Lewis Brisbois’ IP Blog.
