Joseph Lordan to Present on California’s AB5 at GCLA Educational Meeting
Los Angeles, Calif. (March 6, 2020) - San Francisco Partner Joseph R. Lordan will give a presentation regarding recent labor regulations related to California Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) at the Greater California Livery Association’s (GCLA) educational meeting on March 25, 2020 at The Proud Bird steakhouse in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Lordan’s discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m. during the presentation portion of the evening, following dinner. He will provide valuable information and guidance regarding current regulations related to AB5, which codified the decision in Dynamex v. Superior Court setting forth an “ABC” test for determining whether workers are employees or independent contractors. He will discuss how to manage the related challenges that businesses are facing this year.
This event provides an opportunity for networking with fellow GCLA members in a unique airplane hanger-esque environment that includes panoramic views of LAX’s runways and a replica P-40 Flying Tiger airplane that is suspended from the ceiling.
Mr. Lordan is head of Lewis Brisbois’ Northern California Labor & Employment Practice. His practice focuses on defending employers in employment and business litigation, as well as providing preventative, individually-tailored advice and counseling.
