Joelle Nelson to Moderate Panel on AB5 Legislation at TLA Annual Conference

San Diego, Calif. (March 16, 2023) – Houston Partner Joelle Nelson will moderate a panel on California’s AB5 legislation at the Transportation Lawyer’s Association (TLA) Annual Conference, hosted at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego on April 29 at 8:30 a.m. PT.

This informative 60-minute session, titled "Scott Pilgrim v. The World: Preemption Roadmap to Defeating AB5 Classification," will provide attendees with key insights on California’s AB5 legislation, also known as the ABC Test. Ms. Nelson and her expert co-panelists will provide a full mock legal argument modeled after California Trucking Association, Inc. v. Bonta to provide new strategies in support of federal preemption.
