Jacqueline Houser to Present on Protected Leave at OADC Annual Convention

Portland, Ore. (May 3, 2022) – Portland Associate Jacqueline Houser will present at the upcoming Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC) Annual Convention, hosted at Sunriver Resort from June 16-18.

In an informative 60-minute session on June 17 at 12:00p.m. PT titled “Advanced Leave and Accommodation Issues for Defense Counsel,” Ms. Houser and her expert co-panelists will address various forms of protected leave (FMLA/OFLA, Oregon sick leave) and ADA and religious accommodations. They will also discuss intermittent leave, mental health conditions, leave as an accommodation, common mistakes, and the ever-evolving COVID-related leave and accommodation issues.

OADC is a volunteer, nonprofit association composed of Oregon State Bar members who devote a substantial portion of their practice to civil litigation defense.

Ms. Houser is a member of the Labor & Employment and Medical Malpractice Groups. She devotes her legal practice to management-side employment law litigation and advice and counseling. Ms. Houser has represented employers of all sizes in a myriad of employment law matters including disability accommodations, leaves of absence, discrimination and harassment, and terminations
