Greg Tumolo Presents on NLRB Developments at Rhode Island Manufacturers Association Meeting

Providence, R.I. (November 14, 2023) – On November 14, Providence Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Employment Advice & Counseling Practice Gregory Tumolo was invited by the Advisory Council of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association to present a 30-minute session on recent legal developments at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Mr. Tumolo provided attendees with a brief overview of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (NLRA), and highlighted final rules governing speedy union elections and joint employer status under the Act. He also discussed the NLRB’s recent decisions in McLaren Macomb, Stericycle, Cemex Construction Materials Pacific, and Miller Plastics and their far-reaching impacts for employers.

Mr. Tumolo focuses on representing and counseling employer and employee clients in a wide array of labor and employment law matters. He has substantial experience providing employers with the creative and cost-effective compliance solutions that they need to grow their businesses and effectively manage risk. Recently, he received the 2023 Outstanding HR Advocate Award from the Rhode Island Society for Human Resource Management (Rhode Island SHRM).
