Greg Katz, Nicholas Hurzeler to Present Webinar on Key Appellate Decisions & Their Impact on New York Litigation

New York, N.Y. (February 9, 2023) - New York Managing Partner Gregory S. Katz and Appellate Partner Nicholas P. Hurzeler will present a webinar titled "Recent Important Appellate Decisions & Their Expected Impact on New York Litigation," on February 8 at 3:00 p.m. ET. 

During their presentation, they will review major decisions from New York's Appellate Division and Court of Appeals from the past few years, including the precedent-setting ruling Lewis Brisbois achieved in Leathers v. Approved Oil Co. of Brooklyn, Inc. and a department split on an important Labor Law 240(1) issue.

Mr. Katz is the chair of Lewis Brisbois' National Trial Practice, and a chair of its General Liability and Transportation Practices. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has over 20 years of experience in defending cases in state and federal court. He also formed and oversees the firm’s 24/7 Rapid Response On Call Transportation Team.

Mr. Hurzeler is a Vice Chair of Lewis Brisbois' Appellate Practice. He focuses on appellate work, motions, and trials and has briefed and argued over 130 appeals in the New York State Appellate Divisions and Second Circuit Court of Appeals, with a strong track record of success.
