Frank Cerza to Speak at ICSC + U.S. Law Conference on New Retail Model Lease

Orlando, Fla. (October 11, 2022) – New York Partner Frank Cerza will join a panel discussion at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) U.S. Law Conference, hosted at the JW Marriot Hotel in Orlando on October 27 at 2:15 p.m. ET.

Mr. Cerza’s seminar, titled “ICSC’s New Model Retail Lease: Staying Current with the New Reality: The Threshold Moment Has Arrived,” will focus on some of the important provisions found in the new ICSC retail model lease that was developed by a team of legal and leasing experts. This panel will discuss the changes in the formula for gross sales and percentage rent calculations, force majeure and rent abatement clauses in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, continuous operating requirements, occupancy costs including caps and exclusions, co-tenancy provisions, and radius restriction clauses. Mr. Cerza serves as chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Italy Practice, co-chair of the Real Estate & Land Use Practice, and as vice-chair of its Commercial Lending Practice. He focuses his practice on corporate and real estate business transactions and commercial finance, representing American and Italian companies and individuals in cross-border transactions.
