Five Lewis Brisbois Attorneys Named “Top Rank Attorneys” by Nevada Business Magazine

Reno, Nev. (June 19, 2023) – Reno Partners John Boyden, Brandon Wright, and Sarah Molleck, Las Vegas Partner Joel Schwarz, and Las Vegas Associate Tamara M. Cannella were recently named to Nevada Business Magazine's 2023 list of "Top Rank Attorneys." Formerly known as "Legal Elite," this annual list represents the top talent in the legal industry across the State of Nevada.

According to Nevada Business Magazine, thousands of attorneys are nominated for the list and then scored based on the number and type of votes they receive, with votes from outside an attorney's firm receiving more weight. Finally, before being added to the list, the attorneys, and the votes they receive, go through several levels of verification and scrutiny, with each ballot individually reviewed for eligibility and every voting attorney verified with the State Bar of Nevada. The magazine has published this list for the past 16 years.

Mr. Boyden is a member of the General Liability Practice. Throughout his career, he has represented numerous contractors and subcontractors throughout the years and has extensive experience in construction defect litigation, as well as general construction litigation and assistance with drafting contracts. As a result of his in-court experience and peer review, Mr. Boyden has been accepted into the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

Mr. Wright is a member of the General Liability and Hospitality Practices. He has been a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Hospitality Group for over 10 years. Mr. Wright has published articles and presented CLE’s about the American with Disabilities Action (ADA). He has also defended restaurants, casinos, hotels, and department stores against slip/trip-and-fall and other premise liability cases in various stages of litigation and on appeal.

Mr. Schwarz is a partner in the Las Vegas office of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. He is in his 19th year of practice. He started his career at one of Nevada's oldest and largest firms, practicing Complex Commercial, Catastrophic Tort, Commercial Landlord-Tenant and Intellectual Property Litigation, and Civil Appeals. Mr. Schwarz then moved to a national firm, continuing in the same areas of practice.

Ms. Molleck is a member of the General Liability Practice. Her experience includes a wide variety of practice areas, such as commercial litigation, personal injury defense, professional liability defense, and appellate practice before the Nevada Supreme Court. She has successfully resolved dozens of cases via dispositive motion practice, mediation, or judicial settlement conferences on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Cannella is a member of the General Liability Practice. She received the CALI Award for Legal Drafting in 2018. She was a Nevada Law Journal Senior Staff Member while earning her Juris Doctor from William S. Boyd School of Law.
