Eric Neiman Quoted in Bloomberg Article on Behavioral Health Law

Portland, OR (January 14, 2019) - Portland Managing Partner Eric Neiman was recently quoted in an article from Bloomberg Law titled “Behavioral Health Practices ‘Poised to Explode’ at Law Firms,” in which he discusses the “very fast growing area” of behavioral health law.

Mr. Neiman, who is the chair of Lewis Brisbois’ Behavioral Health Practice, and vice-chair of membership for the American Health Lawyers Association’s behavioral health task force, spoke to Bloomberg Law about the factors that have caused this relatively new area of the law to grow so rapidly in recent years, including the opioid epidemic and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.

The article also touches on upcoming changes to the field, such as telehealth, which Mr. Neiman says is “the biggest development in behavioral health now” and could completely transform care delivery.
