Entertainment Team Represents Country Singer-Songwriter Matt Schuster in Warner Music Nashville Deal

Nashville, Tenn. (September 29, 2023) - Nashville Partner Matt Cottingham and Associate Austin Wells recently represented country singer-songwriter Matt Schuster in his record deal with Warner Music Nashville (WMN). As a Music Row article notes, the signing was announced on stage at WMN’s Warner On Deck event where Schuster performed on September 20th.

Schuster has accumulated more than 130 million global streams independently over the past two years, with four of his releases hitting the Top 200 on Spotify’s Country Global chart. Schuster, who is from Charleston, Illinois, moved to Nashville in 2022. To celebrate his signing with WMN, he released his major label debut single, “Tell me Tennessee,” on September 22th.

Mr. Cottingham is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Entertainment, Media, & Sports Practice, where he focuses on entertainment, intellectual property, and business law matters. He regularly represents individuals and companies in the entertainment industry, providing experienced guidance to recording artists, songwriters, record producers, independent music publishers, new media companies, and independent record labels.
