Ellen Greiper Co-Presents Lawline Course on Post-COVID-19 Litigation
New York, N.Y. (January 21, 2022) – New York Partner Ellen H. Greiper recently co-presented a virtual Lawline seminar on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the litigation landscape. A recording of this course is now available for download.
In this informative 60-minute session titled "Post-COVID Litigation: How to Defend Against New Tactics Being Used by Plaintiffs," Ms. Greiper and her co-presenter discuss new post-pandemic litigation tactics currently used by plaintiffs to expedite cases, including the use of notices to admit, premature summary judgment motions, and the use of litigation funding. They also examine the impact of these tactics on defending a case and provide strategies for combating these tactics. This course qualifies for CLE credits in several states.
Ms. Greiper is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Construction Practice. She has more than three decades of experience defending multi-party construction and construction defect cases in the state and federal courts of New York. A prolific author and frequent speaker on emerging legal issues, Ms. Greiper is also a member of Lewis Brisbois' 24/7 Rapid Response team for trucking clients and has extensive experience representing large fleet trucking companies in a wide range of transportation matters. Additionally, she is a member of the firm's Crisis Management Practice, and regularly manages crises pertaining to OSHA Safety & Health matters.
