Ellen Greiper Appointed to First All-Female Advisory Board for Advisen’s Big Nasty Claims Conference

New York, N.Y. (July 29, 2020) - New York Partner Ellen H. Greiper has been appointed to the first all-female advisory board for Advisen Ltd.’s annual Big Nasty Claims Conference, taking place in New York City on September 17, 2020 at New York Law School. This is Ms. Greiper’s second consecutive year serving on the board of this event. The half-day conference, aimed at risk managers and claims professionals, will focus on the phenomenon of big, "nasty" claims in the casualty sector, and other related topics.

As a member of the advisory board, Ms. Greiper and her fellow board members will plan and develop the conference’s agenda, which will explore loss trends and other insights on a range of casualty claims matters.

“I am thrilled to be part of the first ever all-female advisory board for Advisen’s Big Nasty Claims Conference,” Ms. Greiper said. “It is an honor to serve alongside exceptional women in the industry, and I appreciate that Advisen has given me this opportunity,” she added. 

Ms. Greiper is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Construction Practice. She has more than three decades of experience defending multi-party construction and construction defect cases in the state and federal courts of New York. A prolific author and frequent speaker on emerging legal issues, Ms. Greiper was recently appointed to be President of the Greater New York/Long Island chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for a second consecutive term, and appointed to serve on Advisen’s Casualty Currents Executive Board.
