Donna Maddux to Speak at Advisen New York Cyber Risk Insights Conference
Portland, Ore. (September 9, 2021) – Portland Partner Donna Maddux will join a panel discussion at this year's Advisen New York Cyber Risk Insights Conference @ Home, taking place virtually from October 19 to 21. Ms. Maddux's session, titled "Claims Experience and Impacts," will begin at 10:50 a.m. ET on October 19.
In this 45-minute session, Ms. Maddux and her co-panelists will discuss how forensics teams and underwriters can work together to identify common causes of loss and best prevention practices. They will also look at how claims are evolving, and the ways in which cybersecurity and insurance professionals can work effectively together throughout the claims process.
The Advisen Cyber Risk Insights Conference will feature various panels discussing cyber marketplace metrics, ransomware regulation and legislation, and the cyber risk ecosystem. Lewis Brisbois is a proud sponsor of this event.
Ms. Maddux is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice, and has extensive experience prosecuting a variety of crimes, including wire fraud, healthcare fraud, and money laundering. She has served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Oregon and has managed multi-agency investigative teams and worked closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
