David Nahai Appointed to Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board

Los Angeles, Calif. (January 27, 2021) - Los Angeles Partner David Nahai has been appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom to serve on the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, which is charged with protecting water quality in a region that includes approximately 11 million people.

In commenting upon his new position, which requires California Senate confirmation, Mr. Nahai stated, “I am honored to have the opportunity to help this important California governmental agency achieve its mission. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Board to protect and safeguard our priceless water resources throughout our large region.”

An acknowledged expert in real estate, energy, water, and environmental matters, Mr. Nahai has over 40 years of experience and is an AV-rated lawyer. He has represented clients and performed transactions at the highest levels, working on complex matters and supervising teams of attorneys. He has also served as the Commission President and General Manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the Chair of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, and a Senior Advisor to the Clinton Climate Initiative.
