Brigid Ndege to Receive ABA 20/20 Partners Rising Young Leader Award

Chicago, Ill. (September 27, 2021) – Chicago Associate Brigid K. Ndege will be awarded the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Section Business Bankruptcy Committee’s 20/20 Partners Rising Young Leader Award at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges on October 6, 2021.  

Ms. Ndege joins 20 distinguished attorneys in this inaugural year of the award, which recognizes young lawyers who show promise to be future leaders within the legal profession, the ABA, and the Business Bankruptcy Committee. These award recipients will be honored at the Business Bankruptcy Committee leadership dinner during the 2021 National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, hosted at the JW Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis.

"I am elated to be an award recipient and look forward to further developing as an attorney through my participation with the ABA," said Ms. Ndege on the award. 

The 20 awardees were evaluated for their emerging leadership skills, professional and social contributions, high-quality bankruptcy work, personal skills, and integrity. They will now have an opportunity to partner with the ABA Committee to network and enhance their careers by speaking on programs, podcasts, or webinars, authoring articles that are published in the Bankruptcy Committee’s newsletter and Business Law Today. 

Ms. Ndege is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice. She represents creditors’ committees, creditor groups, real estate development firms as well as other entities in all aspects of restructuring stressed and distressed companies. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, she served as a judicial law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
