Angeline Ioannou, Pamela Ferguson to Participate in Crittenden Insurance Telemedicine & Technology Conference

San Diego, Calif. (September 20, 2022) - Hartford Managing Partner Angeline N. Ioannou and San Francisco Partner Pamela M. Ferguson will take part in the upcoming Crittenden Insurance "Telemedicine, A.I. & Technology Disruption" Conference hosted at the Omni San Diego Hotel from September 21 to 23.

The conference will bring together professionals from across the legal and medical communities to share their insights on how technological changes are disrupting the healthcare industry, as well as recent trends in COVID-19 litigation and claims and new emerging risks.

First, on September 22 at 12:00 p.m., Ms. Ioannou will join a breakout session to discuss COVID-19 liability and whether healthcare providers are immunized from such claims. Then, at 2:45 p.m., Ms. Ferguson will join a panel discussion on opioid litigation. The panelists will provide an update on liability, risk management, and coverage issues involving medical providers and the pharmaceutical industry. The 3-day conference will also feature several social events and networking opportunities, including dinner and a baseball game at Petco Park.

Ms. Ioannou is a member of Lewis Brisbois' Healthcare and General Liability Practices. She has more than 20 years of litigation experience and extensive practice defending complex tort and commercial liability claims, involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, and professional malpractice claims on behalf of nursing homes, physicians, and nurses.

Ms. Ferguson is vice-chair of Lewis Brisbois' Products Liability, Class Action, and Life Sciences Practices, and focuses on the defense of complex multi-party litigation involving prescription drug and medical device products liability and toxic tort litigation. She defends corporate clients, manufacturers of drug and medical devices, retailers, and suppliers in a wide variety of litigation, with a heavy emphasis on class action litigation.
