Angela Cooner to Discuss Terminating Construction Contracts at State Bar of Arizona Convention

Phoenix, Ariz. (May 11, 2022) – Phoenix Partner Angela L. Cooner will join the faculty on an upcoming panel at the State Bar of Arizona Convention, hosted at the Sheraton Grand Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona from June 27-29. 

In an informative 3-hour session, titled “Strategies and Considerations for Terminating Construction Contracts,” taking place on June 28 at 2:00 p.m. PT, Ms. Cooner and her fellow faculty members will discuss the scope and bases for terminations, typical contract provisions, and potential risks imposed on parties who improperly terminate construction contracts. They will also provide tips for drafting and negotiating termination for default and termination for convenience provisions, common termination pitfalls, and how to mitigate risk in the context of owner-prime agreements and prime-subcontractor agreements. CLE credits are available for attendees.  

Ms. Cooner is a member of the Construction and General Liability Practice. She has experience in a wide variety of areas including construction litigation, complex commercial litigation, professional liability, fiduciary duty, product liability, premises liability, real estate litigation, first party bad faith, community association (HOA and Condo) law, and appellate law.
