Angela Cooner Elected to Leadership Positions in Arizona Trade Organizations
Phoenix, Ariz. (June 25, 2019) – Phoenix Attorney Angela L. Cooner has been elected to leadership positions in two affiliated Arizona trade organizations. Ms. Cooner was elected to the Board of Directors, as Legal Counsel, for the American Subcontractors Association of Arizona (ASA AZ) in May. She was subsequently elected as Co-Chair of the Arizona State Contractors Coalition (ASCC) in June.
The ASCC is an alliance of construction industry associations committed to protecting the rights of all contractors, seeking to establish and maintain fair and equitable solutions. ASA AZ, recognized as “The Voice of Arizona Subcontractors,” is one of those member associations and is dedicated to improving the business environment for all segments of the construction industry through advocacy, leadership, education and networking.
Ms. Cooner is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ General Liability Practice with over seventeen years of experience across a variety of areas including construction defect, professional liability, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death and appellate law. She recently co-drafted a comprehensive construction liability bill that was signed into law by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
In addition to her new leadership positions, Ms. Cooner is Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee for Arizonans for Fair Contracting (AFC), and has worked for several years to address issues facing Arizona contactors.
