Joshua Youngkin


Joshua Youngkin is an associate in the San Diego office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Products Liability and Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practices, where his STEM background guides his practice and provides an advantage when working with experts in medicine, chemistry, biology, and their various subdisciplines.

Over the course of his career, Joshua Youngkin has worked with hundreds of scientists and engineers on a variety of projects. Prior to law school, he worked seven years as a network engineer for an IP-over-satellite startup. After law school, on behalf of a think tank in Seattle he then worked for four years in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) policy advising state legislatures, state boards of education, and local education districts across the country re: STEM education. Then, he joined Perkins Coie’s complex discovery unit in Seattle before finally returning to San Diego where he worked in complex discovery in class action antitrust multidistrict litigation for five years with Robbins Geller on cases involving advances in science and medicine.
