Peter Van Deventer is a partner in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and is a chair of the Aviation Practice and a member of the Products Liability Practice. He has substantial experience with the representation of domestic owners and operators of private aircraft, companies that maintain and repair such aircraft, as well as commercial airlines. These accidents and investigations have involved Cessna, Gulfstream, Beechcraft, Piper, Mooney, and Bombardier fixed-wing aircraft, as well as Sikorsky and Schweizer rotorcraft.
Mr. Van Deventer’s litigation experience has included substantial involvement in product liability, property and casualty, toxic tort, professional liability and trucking and automobile litigation. He has represented self-insureds, publicly and privately held corporations and insurance companies. He has also represented the interests of insurance carriers in insurance coverages.
Mr. Van Deventer has been appointed as a Civil Arbitrator in six different venues.
