Dane H. Taylor

Partner

Dane H. Taylor is a partner in the Orange County office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP.  He is a member of the Firm's Construction Practice Group.  Dane primarily represents architects, engineers, subcontractors, and design professionals in litigated matters throughout California.    

In addition to construction, Dane is well versed in defending individuals and businesses in a wide array of litigated matters.  He regularly represents clients in defense of personal injury cases.  Dane also has experience representing homeowners' associations in complex disputes with its members.  Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Dane represented several Fortune 500 clients in the banking sector, defending their interests in state and federal court.      

Dane obtained his law degree from Syracuse University, graduating with honors.  While in law school, Dane secured a highly competitive federal externship with the Hon. David E. Peebles, United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of New York.  As an extern, Dane's responsibilities included researching and analyzing diverse legal topics (both civil and criminal) and providing his recommendations to Judge Peebles.  Through this experience, Dane honed his skills for persuasive argument and effective writing.  

Dane strives to continually improve himself and stay informed on the ever-changing legal landscape to serve his clients better.  To that end, Dane is currently enrolled in the Construction Management Certificate Program at UCLA Extension.
