Todd M. Rowe is a partner in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. As part of the Lewis Brisbois rapid response team, Mr. Rowe assists the team in conducting initial assessments of the potential data security incident, including ransomware attacks, social engineering attacks, business email compromise, and other unauthorized intrusions. After the initial response, Mr. Rowe provides clients with forensic and/or remediation services required to contain, analyze, investigate, and remediate the incident. With the threat mitigated, Mr. Rowe provides an assessment of the client’s consumer and regulatory notification obligations under applicable state, federal, and international laws and industry standards and assists clients with external communications and notifications.

Todd M. Rowe has worked on cyber/privacy matters ranging from pre-breach consultation, breach response to cyber insurance. Over the years, Todd has assisted clients in nearly every industry and level of government to formulate their strategy for privacy and data issues.

Mr. Rowe leverages experience gained while working on privacy issues within the insurance industry. Insurers have called upon Mr. Rowe to serve on their panels providing cyber services to their insureds, to provide analysis of privacy claims under cyber and traditional lines of insurance coverage and to monitoring breach responses by insured’s private counsel. With this unique experience Mr. Rowe provides clients with the “full picture” in responding to privacy incidents by counseling on liability, insurance, and business issues created by privacy risks.

Todd's articles and presentations provide insight for others grappling with the emerging privacy issues in the legal, insurance, government, and business communities.
