Sarah M. Molleck is a partner in the Reno office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Appellate and General Liability Practices. Her experience includes a wide variety of practice areas, such as commercial litigation, personal injury defense, professional liability defense, and appellate practice before the Nevada Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Sarah is licensed to practice law before all state and federal courts in Nevada and the Ninth Circuit. She has successfully resolved numerous cases on behalf of her clients, including a published opinion from the Nevada Supreme Court where she favorably defended summary judgment for her client in a defamation case.

Sarah grew up in Sparks, Nevada and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She attended Gonzaga University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2015. 

After law school, Sarah completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Lynne K. Simons of the Second Judicial District Court before entering private practice. In addition to her experience in insurance defense, Sarah also served as a deputy district attorney for Washoe County, where she appeared in court on a regular basis conducting evidentiary hearings for the family support division.

Sarah is a member of the Nevada State Bar’s Standing Committee of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, where her duties include providing advisory opinions on ethics issues for attorneys and presenting seminars for attorney continuing legal education. She presents yearly at the State Bar of Nevada’s “Ethics Year in Review” and has both written and spoken on topics such as attorney behavioral decision-making and the impacts of technology on the practice of law, including keeping client information confidential in the digital age. Her published articles in the Nevada Lawyer can be found on the State Bar of Nevada’s website. 

Sarah is also a member of several professional local and national associations, including the Association of Defense Counsel of Nevada, the American Inns of Court – Bruce R. Thompson chapter, the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, the Washoe County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is a covenant member of and volunteers regularly with her church. Sarah enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
