Maureen McCartney

Of Counsel

Maureen McCartney is Of Counsel in the Philadelphia office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Team. She assists clients in managing responses to data security incidents, and in assessing and limiting liability throughout the process. Maureen has over 25 years of litigation experience, including 12 years as an Assistant United States Attorney. She is highly skilled in managing complex investigations and has over 20 years of experience collaborating with agencies and regulators such as the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Inspector General for various federal agencies, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and state medical boards. Prior to serving as a federal prosecutor, Maureen served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office for five years, including two years in their Special Investigations Unit. She also taught for three years as an Associate Professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law and serving as their Director of Trial Advocacy Programs.
