Alejandra Martinez is an associate in the Minneapolis office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Products Liability and Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation Practices. Alejandra helps defend her clients across a wide range of industries in state and federal courts. Her experience extends to all stages of litigation from drafting complaints and answers, engaging in discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions, working extensively with expert and fact witnesses, taking and defending depositions, developing case strategy, and trial. Alejandra's background and experience help her zealously advocate for her clients.
Alejandra earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2015 and her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2019. In law school, Alejandra competed in the Rosalie Wahl Moot Court Competition, New York City National Moot Court Competition, and on the Mitchell Hamline Mock Trial team. She was also a fellow of the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy program. Following law school, she served as a staff attorney to the Honorable Richelle Wahi of Minnesota's First Judicial District. She was also an extern for the Honorable Kevin Burke in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District.
Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Alejandra gained ample experience litigating a vast array of matters while working for a prominent litigation firm specializing in civil defense. Alejandra has independently handled matters from pre-litigation stages through trial with clients ranging from small, family-owned businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and international corporations. She is also fluent in Spanish. Alejandra's background and experience provide her with the research, writing, and advocacy skills necessary to effectively represent her clients.
Outside of work, Alejandra enjoys weight training, swimming, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
