Tera A. Lutz is an associate in the Houston office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. She focuses her practice on cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage arising out of premises liability, general negligence, and intentional torts. She has successfully represented international hotel corporations, major car corporations, and government entities in all aspects of litigation including discovery, document review, ESI preservation, law and motion practice, deposition, mediation, and trial preparation. 

In addition to her general liability work, Ms. Lutz also has handled federal and state class action lawsuits, including recently successfully opposing the certification of a high-profile class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Lutz is licensed in California and Texas and routinely practices in state and federal courts in both states.

While at Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Lutz has participated in pro bono work with the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, providing legal advice for low-income individuals regarding guardianship, paternity, dissolution of marriage, and child custody, as well as the St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance, representing unaccompanied minors seeking visas and asylum in the U.S. She was also appointed as a fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
