Jennifer Lowis is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice Department.

Ms. Lowis focuses on civil litigation, with special emphasis on long term care. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, she was Senior Counsel at a San Diego firm. Before that, Ms. Lowis was a partner at Lowis & Gellen, a firm she founded in Chicago in 1995. As a seasoned trial lawyer, Ms. Lowis has tried many high exposure jury trials and successfully concluding hundreds of other cases short of trial. Additionally, she has successfully defended high stakes medical malpractice lawsuits, including many catastrophic injury and death cases, on behalf of teaching hospitals, community hospitals, long term care facilities, and physicians in virtually every field of medicine. Ms. Lowis has tried in excess of 25 death and significant injury cases, receiving defense verdicts in the majority of them.

Ms. Lowis has been designated as one of the top civil defense lawyers in Illinois, a Leading Lawyer in medical malpractice defense, a Leading Woman Lawyer and one of the top 100 female lawyers in Illinois.
