Janice Lopez

Associate

Janice Lopez is an associate in the Miami office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Appellate Practice.

While attending American University Washington College of Law, Janice was a student attorney with the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, where she represented a small business launching a skin care company. She also represented individuals with disabilities while working with the Disability Rights Law Clinic.

Janice was a Teaching Assistant for Contracts, Business Associations, International Business Transactions, and Regulation of Emerging Robotics. She was also a member of the American University Business Law Review.

Janice has co-authored an advisory opinion to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on States’ obligations under international law to women in prison that are pregnant or in postpartum, has researched the United Nations’ NGO accreditation process while working with a leading human rights organization, and has conducted bivariate and multivariate statistical analyses examining access to facility-based maternal care in Burma.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Janice served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Timothy Kelly.
