Michael Kopit is a partner in the Kansas City office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Corporate Practice. His practice is focused on estate planning and business succession planning. Michael believes that each person deserves to have an estate plan that enables them to protect their family, business, and/or property. Michael provides individualized attention to each client to build rapport, trust, and identify each person’s specific needs or wishes. This type of client-first approach enables Michael to create creative, cost-effective, and practical estate plans for each client’s unique situation.

Michael says that what motivates him the most is the opportunity “to educate his clients on their rights and their options in the event of death or disability so they can leverage those rights and options to create a plan that best serves their needs while alive and protects their family and property thereafter.”

Michael grew up in Kansas and spent his entire legal career in the Midwest. He is proud to be a Kansas Citian and strives for the betterment of his community.
