Ted Kim, JD/MBA, is an associate in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Products Liability, Toxic Tort & Environmental Litigation, and Korean Business & Litigation Practices.
Ted has extensive experience working with multinational corporations in defending high-value products liability cases, including coordinating and conducting discovery in multi-jurisdictional products liability CPG, environmental, and historical insurance matters. He has successfully prepared numerous motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions to compel discovery, and motions in limine. He is also responsible for handling all stages of litigation for asbestos cases including depositions, pleadings, and discovery as well as trial preparation.
Ted is fluent in Korean, and provides advice to Korean and other foreign companies in international business matters, with emphasis on assisting foreign companies incorporate entities in the U.S. As a former international businessman, he understands the challenges that his clients face in managing a business, from navigating the complex legal environment to reconciling the differences in business cultures between regions such as the U.S. and Asia. With that understanding, he plays a strategic role to his clients as a trusted advisor by providing sound legal and forward-looking solutions to his clients’ problems.
