Madeline Kelley

Associate

Madeline Kelley is an associate in the Cleveland office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Madeline has experience in a wide variety of litigation including: medical malpractice, personal injury, employment, insurance, and family law. Madeline has experience working as in-house counsel and formerly clerked for University Hospitals. Additionally, Madeline has both state and federal criminal litigation experience. Madeline clerked for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office in the Cold Case Sexual Assault Investigation Unit and the United States Attorney’s Office. 

Madeline attended Case Western Reserve School of Law and graduated in 2022. At Case Western, Madeline was the Vice President of Operations of the Johnathan Ault Mock Trial Team. Madeline was the lead attorney on her trial team in the National Trial Competition hosted by TYLA. Madeline was the 2022 Regional Champion of the 2022 National Trial Competition. As a national finalist, Madeline then learned both sides of an entirely new case in just under three weeks, and was the lead attorney at the National Tournament. Ultimately, Madeline tied for 8th place nationally out of the 140 law schools and over 1,000 students competing. Madeline won the International Academy of Trial Lawyer’s Award for being the outstanding advocate of her graduating class, as well as the William E. Davis First and Second place awards. Academically, Madeline was on the Dean’s list. 

Madeline earned her Bachelor of Arts in PPEL, Philosophy, Political Science, and Law with a Minor in Journalism from the University of Richmond in 2019. Madeline studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, while attending UofR, and is proficient in Spanish.
