Chanlon Kaufman


Chanlon Kaufman is an associate in the San Bernardino office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.  He joined the General Liability Practice in 2021, after previously working at Lewis Brisbois in the Healthcare Practice, which handles all phases of litigation in matters related to medical malpractice and elder law.

Mr. Kaufman received his Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2021 from the University of La Verne College of Law, where he was honored as the class Valedictorian.  During his law school tenure, Mr. Kaufman was the recipient of twelve CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, given to students in recognition of receiving the highest grade in a law school course; served as the Chief-Executive-Editor of the University of La Verne Law Review; and was a member of the University of Law Verne Board of Advocates, presiding as Moot Court Director.  

Mr. Kaufman is also published author, and has been recognized by the National Order of Scribes for his excellence in legal writing.  Most recently, he has published scholarship exploring COVID-19 and the future of nursing home litigation.
