Brian Katoozi is an associate in the Orange County office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. He specializes in employment litigation and general employment counseling in the following areas:

Mr. Katoozi began his career doing complex civil litigation, including transportation and public entity defense. He grew up in Southern California where he attended Chapman University, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. Subsequently, he pursued his Juris Doctor at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law with a merit scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Katoozi worked in several law clinics, including the Chapman Tax Law Clinic where he assisted clients in their disputes with the IRS. Mr. Katoozi successfully drafted an Offer in Compromise which was ultimately approved by the IRS. He prides himself in assisting firm clients, ensuring that the needs of clients come first.

Mr. Katoozi’s experience includes serving as defense counsel in the Southern California fire litigation cases arising from the 2017 Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties and subsequent debris flows in Montecito, California. He has represented Fortune 500 companies and several government agencies, including school districts and water districts.
